Multi-One 2 Series tractor

Multi-One 2 Series tractorThere are always jobs that you don’t do often enough to require a dedicated machine, but at the same time are frequent enough to make it a pain to rent equipment. The Multi-One Series 2 solves this problem by going all out on flexibility. Their 2.3 mini loader is small enough to fit anywhere, can make sharp turns without destroying turf, and is compatible with dozens of attachments. Whether you’re a farmer, groundskeeper, construction worker or plant manager, a Multi-One is a good fit for your business.

What is a Mini Loader?

At first glance, it’s easy to confuse the Multi-One 2.3 with a skid steer or a forklift. However, its drive design makes it something totally different. All four wheels are driven directly by hydraulic motors attached to a hinged frame. Each wheel motor is independently controlled by a dynamic block system. This gives the 2 Series an extremely tight turning circle with virtually zero scrubbing when making turns.

There’s no rear wheel steering like a forklift, nor does it have individual wheel brakes like a tractor. The Series 2 is controlled by a steering wheel, throttle, and brake pedal. If you can drive a car, you can operate a mini loader.

With most tractors and front loaders, switching attachments is a complicated process. Since Multi-One developed their machines and attachments together, they’re built around a universal mounting system. Everything attaches to the boom’s mounting plate and single hydraulic connector, letting you switch tools in minutes instead of hours.

Power and Performance

The 2.3 is powered by a Briggs & Stratton Vanguard 8270 producing 25 HP. It drives a hydraulic pump, moving up to 11.1 gallons of fluid per minute. Hydraulics are used to power the boom, attachments, and wheel motors. Top speed for this loader is 9.3 MPH.

The boom both lifts and extends, reaching up to 63-inch maximum lift height. With rear weights installed, the boom can lift up to 926 lbs. with the arms retracted, and up to 750 lbs. when fully extended. The mounting plate is self-leveling, so attachments stay at the same angle as you move them up and down.

At just 41 inches wide, it can pass through all but the smallest gates. This makes the Series 2 a great choice for landscaping and other work in tight quarters.

Equipment

The operator sits in an adjustable high back seat with dual armrests. To protect the operator, the 2.3 comes with a Level 1 ROPS that has a built-in roof. Front and rear lighting also come standard.

From the factory, the cab is open on the left side to make it easier for the operator to get in and out of the loader. For better rollover protection, a lockable bar can be added to this side.

For better weather protection, the cab can be fully enclosed in plexiglass or glass. A heater and a heated seat are available for winter use.

Multi-One also offers several lighting options, including LED headlights for road use, extra working lights, and a beacon light.

Need more grip? Tire chains help with traction on snow and ice, while the torque divider helps deliver equal power to all wheels for traction on soft ground.

Attachments

All attachments are controlled using the same four-way control stick, making it easy to learn how to use new equipment. Multi-One offers 65 compatible attachments for the Series 2.
