Vortexx has made a name for itself for robust, easy to use motorized pressure washers, but now they’re entering the electric market with two models designed to run off of 110v household current. Despite the change in pressure generation, these new models still use Vortexx’s unique convertible cart design.
Why Vortexx?
When buying a pressure washer, one of the biggest decisions is choosing between a unit that can be hand-carried or one built into a cart that can be rolled around. With Vortexx’s pressure washers, you don’t have to choose: the washer can be undocked from the cart when you need to get it into hard to reach spaces, then dropped back onto the frame to be pushed to the next work site. The frame and dock are made out of aluminum to keep weight manageable, while the design provides a place to keep everything you need on board: the wand, hose and electric cable all attach to the unit for easy transport.
Currently, Vortexx offers two electric models: the AR610, aimed at the top of the consumer market, and the AR620, a commercial quality pressure washer.
AR610 Prosumer Pressure Washer
This washer is built around an AR Blue Clean AR610 pressure unit, delivering
1350 PSI at 1.9 GPM (2,565 Cleaning Units,) the maximum power allowed with this combination of use category and power supply. That’s enough for common household cleaning jobs while still having enough power for removing troublesome materials like tar and gum from concrete or marine growth from boat hulls. A built-in detergent tank makes this unit truly portable: just add soap and go.
Water pressure can be adjusted from the gun and at the pump using a control knob and a built-in pressure gauge. Need a different spray angle? The end of the lance can be twisted to change the spray from a concentrated 0° blast to a wide angle spread — that means no tips to fiddle with or lose when moving the cart.
The AR610 can also be outfitted with an optional rotating nozzle to avoid chicken tracks when spraying with narrow, high pressure angles.
The gun is connected to the pump via an Easy Coil 25 foot hose, giving plenty of reach while reducing the time it takes to pack up and move the pump to the next work location.
AR620 Professional Pressure Washer
The AR620 is basically a heavy duty version of the AR610, upgraded to meet the demands of commercial users.
This starts with an AR Blue Clean AR630 pressure unit and brass head Triplex pump. Together, they can deliver 1900 PSI at 2.1 GPM (3,990 Cleaning Units,) the maximum power allowed with this combination of use category and power supply. Like the AR610, it comes with a 25 foot Easy Coil hose, but this version is designed to handle water up to 180° F: hook the pump up to a hot water supply, and the AR620 will make quick work of grease and oil. A built-in hose and filter also allows detergents to be added straight from the container to the water flow for low pressure cleaning.
