Bennche Spire 1000

Bennche Spire 1000

Bennche may be best known for the utility-focused Cowboy and truck-like Warrior side-by-sides, but they also make UTVs that focus less on work and more on fun. The two seat Bennche Spire 1000 and four seat Spire 1000 X swap the big cargo beds for sporty styling and all out performance, making them a great choice for trail riding.

Power

Both the Spire 1000 and 1000 X are powered by a liquid-cooled 976 cc V-Twin fitted with electronic fuel injection. By using an overhead valve design, this engine is able to make loads of low-end torque, while an 11:1 compression ratio helps the engine reach a peak output of 65.5 hp.

Off-Road Performance

This engine is connected to a CVT with low and high range gearing. The drivetrain has two-wheel drive and on-demand four-wheel drive modes, and the rear differential can be locked for tough climbs.

The standard Spire 1000 has 13 inches of ground clearance, while the Spire X has 12 inches, putting them near the top of the market when it comes to rock crawling ability. Each wheel is supported by dual A-arms, while sway bars keep body roll under control at high speeds. To reign in the engine’s power, ventilated hydraulic disc brakes are present behind all four wheels. 14-inch alloy wheels are standard with 27 x 9 tires fitted to the front and 27 x 11 tires on the rear.

Utility

Despite high ground clearance, the Spire’s seats are just 28 inches from the ground, while the Spire X’s are just a bit higher at 31 inches. Bennche still managed to fit a 7.6-gallon fuel tank under the seats so you can drive these vehicles all day without refueling. Electric power steering is an option on both models.

While focused on sport riding, both models still have small beds for carrying cargo. The Spire’s box measures 51.5 x 27 inches, while the Spire X’s is 46 x 24 inches. Both beds can carry up to 350 lbs.

Maintenance requirements are also lower than competing sport UTVs. Shaft drive front and rear eliminate the need for chain oiling, while fuel injection makes the engine less sensitive to stale fuel.

Accessories

The Spire comes well-equipped from the factory, including features like turn signals, brake lights, and net doors. A roof and windshield can be added for increased weather protection while installing a rear view mirror is usually enough for these UTVs to meet neighborhood vehicle requirements. That makes it legal to drive on roads for short distances so you can travel between area trails. A 4,500 lb. The capacity winch can be installed inside the front bumper to pull the vehicle out if it gets stuck between rocks and trees.

Colors

Both the Spire and Spire X are available in black, red, white and yellow.

Warranty

Bennche covers these vehicles for 12 months.
